Linda Quick is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Assistant Dean of the Thomas D. Arthur Graduate School of Business at East Carolina University's College of Business. She contributes significantly to academic leadership, teaching, and research in accounting disciplines.
Her primary research interests focus on auditor judgment and decision making and accounting education. These areas explore how auditors process information and make critical decisions, as well as pedagogical strategies to enhance accounting instruction and student learning outcomes. Her work has been published in high-impact journals such as Accounting, Organizations and Society, Journal of Accounting Literature, and Advances in Accounting Education, reflecting her scholarly contributions to both theoretical and practical aspects of accounting.
Linda teaches Intermediate Accounting I, Financial Accounting, and graduate Auditing, and serves as an Honors Thesis mentor for students in the Honors College. She is also actively involved in university governance as a Faculty Senator for the College of Business.
She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Virginia and North Carolina. Prior to her academic career, she gained professional experience as an auditor at KPMG in Norfolk, VA, which informs her teaching and research with real-world insights.
Linda holds a PhD from the University of South Carolina, which laid the foundation for her academic journey in accounting.
