Dr. Jennifer Riley is a Professor in the School of Accounting at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO), within the College of Business Administration. She holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Accounting Association (AAA), American Institute of CPAs, and Beta Gamma Sigma. Prior to academia, she worked in public accounting and served as a financial services industry controller.
Her teaching focuses on Accounting Information Systems and Data Analytics for both undergraduate and graduate students. Research interests include judgment and decision-making behaviors in accounting, and the impact of technology on auditors, accountants, and students. Her work has been published in journals like the Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Management Accounting Research, and Strategic Finance.
Prof. Riley serves as Director of the Master of Accounting Program and holds leadership roles on university committees, including the University Honors Committee and the Accounting Department Personnel Advisory Committee. She has also held executive positions in AAA sections, including President and Vice President of the Accounting Information Systems section, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Accounting, Behavior, and Organizations section.
