Dr Lih Cheah serves as a Research Fellow at the School of Medicine, University of Leeds, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is actively affiliated with the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine, a leading research center dedicated to advancing understanding and treatment of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
Her research specializes in cardiovascular medicine and metabolic disorders, with particular emphasis on cardiology, diabetes pathophysiology, and metabolic syndrome mechanisms. The work conducted through the Leeds Institute focuses on elucidating disease pathways and developing innovative therapeutic interventions to address critical challenges in patient care and disease prevention.
As a core member of the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine research team, Dr Cheah contributes to multidisciplinary collaborations that integrate basic science with clinical applications, driving forward translational research in cardiovascular and metabolic health.
