Lieketseng Ned serves as Associate Professor and Head of Division of Disability and Rehabilitation Studies within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University. She concurrently holds an International Visiting Scholar position with the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Health Equity and Community Wellbeing at Toronto Metropolitan University.
Her research centers on disability inclusive health systems and community-based rehabilitation, with critical emphasis on decolonial frameworks in health education and indigenous methodologies. She actively investigates health equity through community-centered approaches, focusing on marginalized populations including gender-diverse individuals and Indigenous communities experiencing disability.
