Libby Rowe, M.F.A., is a Professor, Founding Director of the School of Art, and Area Head for Photography at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Her artistic practice spans photography, sculpture, interactive installations, and performance, focusing on identity, belonging, and the sociological, physiological, and psychological aspects of femininity.

Research Interests: Rowe investigates societal constructs of femininity, utopian societal structures, definitions of house/home, familial dynamics, and the role of the photographic image in relation to other media. Her work often challenges traditional presentation strategies, emphasizing viewer interaction.
Scientific Awards: Rowe has received numerous honors, including the 2022 Outstanding Graduate Advisor of Record award, 2021 WCET WOW Award, and multiple grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission. Her 2008 Blind Spot Award and 2018 Honored Educator Award further highlight her contributions.
