Liangyu Fu is the Director of the Asia Library at the University of Michigan, overseeing collection development, services, and partnerships with East Asian Studies programs including the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies (LRCCS), the Center for Japanese Studies, and the Nam Center for Korean Studies. As a faculty associate and Executive Committee member of LRCCS, they bridge library resources with academic research needs.
Education: PhD in Communications (Media History) from the University of Pittsburgh (2013), MLS from Nanjing University (specializing in Chinese bibliography and print culture), and dual BA degrees in Publishing and Laws from Wuhan University.
Research interests include open access publishing, Chinese book and translation history, and scholarly reviews in Chinese studies. Current projects involve editing the second volume of A Scholarly Review of Chinese Studies in North America and a monograph on book history with Brill.
Languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese. Their research guides focus on Chinese studies and STEM resources in Chinese.
