Liam Harper

Dr Liam Harper is a Senior Lecturer in Physiology at Manchester Metropolitan University's School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. Previously, he held roles at the University of Huddersfield and completed his PhD at Northumbria University on soccer extra-time physiology. He is a BASES-accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His research focuses on exercise and nutritional interventions for team sports performance and older adult health, including recreational football's role in combating non-communicable diseases. He contributes to the British American Football Association's Sport Science & Medicine Committee, advocating for Flag Football development.
