Levy David serves as Professor and coordinator of the Keyboard Department at the Cannes Conservatory and holds a visiting professorship at the Knessine Academy in Moscow. An accomplished concert pianist, he performs extensively across Europe and Asia, with notable appearances at the Rostropovitch Festival in Baku, Tel Aviv Conservatory, and the Nuits du Suquet with the Cannes Orchestra.
His academic training includes:
- Graduate and performance diplomas from the Royal Northern College of Music (1987) under Derrick Wyndham
- Studies with Yvonne Lefebure and Alain Planes in Paris
- Konzertexam from the Hanover University of Music under Karl-Heinz Kämmerling
Levy David's artistic focus spans the entire classical piano repertoire, from Baroque (Bach's complete works since 2017) through Romantic (Liszt, Rachmaninoff) to 20th Century (Shostakovich). His performances often feature complete cycles, such as the Shostakovich 24 Preludes and Fugues for the composer's centenary and Bach's 48 Preludes and Fugues. He has recorded albums of Rachmaninoff and Liszt sonatas.
Beyond music, he is an international bridge competitor, having reached the World Pair Championship finals in Montreal (2002).
