Leslie Stamoolis

Leslie Stamoolis is an Associate Professor of Theatre & Dance, Theatre Program Director, and Department Co-Chair at Gonzaga University. A costume designer, technician, and educator, she has worked across the U.S. and holds an M.F.A. in Costume Design from the University of California, Irvine, an M.A. in Theatre Studies from Miami University, and a B.A. in Communications from Taylor University.

Research Interests: Leslie focuses on sustainable practices in costume design and construction, particularly the use of plant-based dyestuffs to reduce environmental impact. Her work bridges rigorous script analysis with material innovation, as seen in projects like the 2017 USITT Conference presentation on natural vs. synthetic dyes.
