Lesley Saunders

Lesley Saunders is a Principal Lecturer in the Nursing and Midwifery department, focusing on teaching and clinical expertise in paediatric trauma and orthopaedics. She leads a team of lecturers and participates in the Department Management Group, engaging in internal and external collaborations with practice partners. Her research emphasizes enhancing care for sick children through nurse education and service improvements. Saunders recently completed a secondment as Clinical Lead Matron at Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

She holds qualifications including RN, RSCN, PGDipHCPE, and an MSc. Her work includes facilitating the Department Service User and Carer group and advocating for future-oriented healthcare education.
