Les Fleischer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at Lakehead University, actively contributing to psychoanalytic education and adult/adolescent mental health research. He holds a PhD from Smith College, an MSW from the University of Toronto, and is a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association (FIPA).
His research focuses on integrating psychoanalytic theory into social work practice, particularly addressing ego psychology, micro-aggressions, countertransference challenges, and the corruptibility of the superego.
