Leonhard Unterlerchner

Leonhard Unterlerchner is a doctoral student at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and affiliated with the National Centre of Competence in Research LIVES at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). Supervised by Professor Matthias Studer, his research focuses on the development of sequence analysis methodology in social sciences, particularly for studying life courses, education, labor, and social stratification in Switzerland.

His primary research interests include sequence analysis, life course studies, educational pathways, labor economics, and social stratification. His work explores the relationship between educational trajectories and income through advanced feature extraction techniques, as demonstrated in his 2023 publication in the Swiss Journal of Sociology.

He holds a Master's degree in Socioeconomics and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, both from institutions in Switzerland.
