Leila Kester

Leila Kester is a Pilates and Floorbarre teacher at the Dutch National Ballet Academy (NBA), part of the Academy of Theatre and Dance. She has been affiliated with NBA since 1997 and works with professional dancers from institutions like Nederlands Dans Theater and Het Nationale Ballet.

• Educational Background: Trained at Polestar Pilates Education and Zena Rommit Floorbarre; certified Vaganova teacher.

Research and Expertise: Leila focuses on dance pedagogy, physical conditioning for dancers, and health-related topics in dance, as evidenced by her publications and lectures at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) congress.
