Leila-Jane Edwards

Leila-Jane Edwards is a Senior Lecturer and Final Year Manager for the BA (Hons) Events Management programme at University College Birmingham. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, her career spans hospitality, tourism and events sectors including management roles at Severn Trent Water and the Walt Disney Company.

Teaching focuses on event strategy and project management across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the MSc Global Meetings and Events Management. She leads industry-linked modules partnering with organizations such as The Prince's Trust and Birmingham Children's Hospital, providing experiential learning opportunities.

Research examines online technologies in events management and crisis strategy development for the events industry.
