Lee Miller is Professor of Performance and Head of Postgraduate Research at Falmouth University. His career focuses on practice-as-research methodologies and audience-performer relationships in contemporary performance.
Research explores:
- Affective gaps between audiences and performers
- Collaborative knowledge generation
- Extended reality applications in live performance
- Site-specific and body-based practices
As editor of Choreographic Practices, he supports global dance scholarship. He has supervised five PhD completions (all practice-as-research projects) and examined eight doctoral candidates, contributing to AHRC-funded 3D3 Centre for Doctoral Training and Erasmus-funded Artistic Doctorates in Europe initiatives.
