Lee Fallin

Dr Lee Fallin is a Lecturer in Education Studies and Director of MA Education Programmes at the University of Hull, within the School of Education. His research focuses on learning technology, accessibility, and the interplay between education and geography, including physical and digital spaces. He holds a Doctorate in Education (EdD) and multiple certifications, including Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and CMALT.

Education qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Geography, PG Certs in eLearning and Academic Practice, and an EdD. His research spans academic libraries, student learning, and qualitative methodologies using NVivo. He leads projects like 'Leafy Legends: Children’s Stories in Nature' (£20k funding) and chairs the Venn Boulevard Centre & Sullivan Centre Governors.

Research interests include design thinking in learning development, AI ethics in education, and geographies of educational spaces. Recent articles explore design thinking’s transformative potential and AI ethics in K-12 education. Awards include Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Royal Geographical Society Fellowship.

Teaching focuses on research methods, academic literacies, and technology integration. He advises on methodologies and chairs the Journal for Learning Development in Higher Education. His work emphasizes equity, empathy-driven co-design, and innovative pedagogical frameworks.
