Leandra Y. Celaya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), within the School of Health Professions. She serves as Director of the Center for Healthcare Management and Leadership, delivering continuing education programs like the National Symposium for Healthcare Executives and managing strategic partnerships with industry leaders. Additionally, she leads the Executive Doctoral Program in Healthcare Leadership and oversees global initiatives, including programs in Saudi Arabia.
Her research focuses on cultural intelligence, cross-cultural management, and inclusive excellence, with publications in journals like European Journal of Cross-Cultural Competence and Management. She co-edited a special issue on cultural change in healthcare organizations and frequently presents on topics such as cultural identity and national health systems.
