Lea Bracke is a PhD researcher and Research Assistant at the Chair of English Linguistics including Language History within the Faculty of Humanities and Cultural Studies at the University of Bamberg. She is actively involved in the project Young German Learner English under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Valentin Werner.

- Language contact, variation, and change
- Digital linguistics and corpus creation
- Historical linguistics, focusing on English
- Development of representative text databases
