Lauren Woods

Lauren Woods is an Associate Professor in Art & Art History at Auburn University's College of Liberal Arts. Her creative research examines embodied expression, nature's consciousness, and temporal transformation through painting, video, and collaborative dance performances. She has exhibited at major institutions including the Huntsville Museum of Art and Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.

Awards include:

• 2024 Alabama State Council on the Arts Fellowship
• 2025 South Arts Career Opportunity Grant
• 2023 Teaching Excellence Award

She collaborates with Sheep Meadow Dance Theatre as visual art director for multimedia performances and specializes in teaching figure drawing and representational painting.
