Laurel Jenkins

Laurel Jenkins is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Middlebury College, specializing in contemporary dance, interdisciplinary performance, and choreography. She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA from UCLA’s Department of World Arts and Dance. Her work emphasizes rigorous experimentation and collaboration across art forms, with performances at venues like Lincoln Center, REDCAT, and the Getty Center. Jenkins has choreographed for institutions such as the LA Philharmonic and universities including the University of Vermont. She has been a member of prominent dance companies like Trisha Brown Dance Company and has received grants from the Vermont and Asian Cultural Councils.
