Larry Clark

Larry Clark is an Associate Professor of Dance at the Conservatory of Dance, Purchase College, State University of New York. With a career spanning decades, he has been a pivotal figure in modern dance education and choreography since joining the faculty in 1980.

• Education: BFA from Ohio State University

Research Interests focus on choreography, modern dance techniques, and somatic practices such as Pilates and Swedish Massage. His pedagogical contributions include courses in Modern Dance Technique, Improvisation, Pilates Mat, Pilates Equipment, and Anatomy for Dancers.

Scientific Awards:

• Junior Faculty Award (1986)

Professional Roles: Clark has served as a rehearsal director, guest teacher, and company massage therapist for the Purchase Dance Company during its 11 international tours. He has also choreographed for dance companies in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Singapore.
