
About
Laura Pineschi is a Full Professor of International Law at the University of Parma, Department of Law, Political and International Studies, where she has served since 2001. She has held numerous leadership roles including Dean of the Faculty of Law (2009–2012), President of the Law Degree Programs (2002–2009), and President of the Political Science Degree Programs (2009–2016). She currently serves as Director of the Center for Studies in European and International Affairs (CSEIA) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the School of Advanced Studies in Food and Nutrition.
Research Interests:
- Environmental protection and sustainable development law
- Human rights protection under international law
- Cultural heritage conservation and legal frameworks
- Peacekeeping operations and international security
- International institutional law and EU law
Her research is widely published in international journals and book chapters, and she has authored two monographs and edited multiple volumes. She also served as Director of Directed Studies at The Hague Academy of International Law in 2015 and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal "Human Rights and International Law".
