Laura Patterson

Laura Patterson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder. She serves as Undergraduate Chair and Continuing Education Liaison, and her contact email is laura.patterson@colorado.edu.

• PhD in Sociology (2011) from CU Boulder

Research Interests: Laura specializes in Research Methods (with a focus on evaluation methods), Statistics, and Environmental Sociology. She also explores the Sociology of Horror, examining cultural and societal implications through her podcast "Collective Nightmares".

Teaching & Community Engagement: Laura has been teaching Sociology courses since completing her PhD. Her work bridges academic research with public engagement through podcasting and program evaluation initiatives.
