Laura Maginnis is an Adjunct Professor in the Space Resources Program at the Colorado School of Mines. With over 20 years of experience in the space launch industry, she has held leadership roles at the U.S. Air Force, Boeing/United Launch Alliance, and Blue Origin, focusing on mission management and launch vehicle development. Her career emphasizes successful integration of missions for NASA, defense agencies, and commercial entities, advancing both exploration and national security objectives.
Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace concentration) from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Space Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology. She teaches Space Operations (SPRS 505) at Mines and currently leads Mission Management for Blue Origin’s New Glenn program. Her work bridges government and commercial sectors to advance space exploration and infrastructure.
