Laura MacDonald

Laura MacDonald is an Associate Professor in the School of Dental Hygiene at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry, part of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. With over three decades of experience, she has taught since 1986 and focuses on innovative teaching strategies, interprofessional education (IPE), and curriculum development. Her work emphasizes learner engagement and authentic assessment practices.

She actively contributes to professional service through roles such as College Lead at the RFHS Office of Interprofessional Collaboration, past-president of the Manitoba Dental Hygienists Association, and member of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association Research Advisory Board.
