Laura Jockusch is the Albert Abramson Associate Professor of Holocaust Studies at Brandeis University, affiliated with the Department of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and the Department of History. Her research focuses on the social, political, cultural, and legal histories of European Jews before, during, and after the Holocaust, with a comparative and transnational perspective.
She holds a Ph.D. from New York University. Her work explores Holocaust documentation, legal redress post-genocide, and the complexities of survivor testimonies. Notable projects include studies on early Holocaust research initiatives post-WWII and the trials of Stella Goldschlag, a Gestapo informer.
