Laura Genik is the Director of Applied Engineering Sciences (AES) and a Teaching Professor in the College of Engineering at Michigan State University (MSU). She has held this role since January 2015. Previously, she taught in MSU's CoRe program and Mechanical Engineering Department, with prior academic experience at the University of Portland and as visiting faculty at Wayne State University.
Her educational background includes a Ph.D. (1998), M.S. (1994), and B.S. (1991) in Mechanical Engineering, all from MSU, with her dissertation focusing on computational heat and mass transfer in porous media.
