Laura Fong

Laura Fong is a Professor of Digital Communication at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2022. She has previously held academic roles at the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, Mercer University, and Kent State University, including titles such as Definite Term Lecturer, Visiting Assistant Professor, and Adjunct Instructor.

Education:

• B.S. in Visual Journalism at Kent State University

Laura’s research and professional work focus on the intersection of digital communication, social justice, and ethical frameworks in user experience design. Her publications and presentations explore topics like the #BlackLivesMatter movement, Indigenous storytelling, and accountability in UX design.
