Laura DiGrande

Laura DiGrande, DrPH, MPH, is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in epidemiology and public health. She has over two decades of experience in public health, working with state and city health departments in New Mexico, Massachusetts, and New York City. Her expertise spans surveillance, observational epidemiology, disaster response, and program development.

• Education: DrPH in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University; MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University.
• Professional Roles: Epidemiologist, Research Scientist, Program Director, and current leader at RTI International managing federal contracts in disaster epidemiology and vaccination research.
• Research Interests: Focus on disaster preparedness, PTSD in post-9/11 populations, injury prevention, safe driving initiatives, and equity in public health data practices.

At RTI International since 2017, she leads cross-functional teams on federal contracts and contributes to data equity initiatives. She also teaches Epidemiologic Data Analysis in the MPH@UNC program.
