Laura Christoph, Ph.D., is the Health Sciences Program Director and Associate Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), where she joined in 2024. She holds a Ph.D. and B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior roles include Director of Health and Performance Coaching at Canyon Ranch (2021–2024), Associate Professor at Franklin Pierce University (2018–2021), and Professor at Holyoke Community College (2007–2018).
Her research focuses on applied health initiatives, including peer health coaching, physiological testing, and community health worker training. Notable projects include a NIH-Inbre grant on peer health coaching impacts and an HRSA grant for community health worker education. She currently collaborates on studies assessing health coaching effects on student body composition.
Key affiliations include National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Laura contributes to academic programs such as the Health Science B.S. and coordinates interdisciplinary health initiatives.
