Laura Castles

Laura Castles is a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies at the University of the West of England, Bristol Business School. She joined UWE in January 2020 after a career in private and commercial education sectors, focusing on leadership development and management education.

• Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Leadership and Management Practice (Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship)
• Lead for Ofsted accreditation in degree apprenticeships

Her expertise centers on degree apprenticeship pedagogy, responsible management education aligned with the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and research into gender inclusivity in workplaces. She spearheads initiatives to improve female participation in organizational settings, particularly through the lens of menopause transition as a workplace issue.
