Lars Huemer is a Professor at BI Norwegian Business School in the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, where he has been employed since 1999. He previously served as Associate Professor (2000–2009) and Head of Department (2002–2003). His international affiliations include visiting scholar positions at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Chile (2004–2006) and the University of Technology, Sydney (1995). He holds a Ph.D. from Umeå University (1998).
His research explores interorganisational relations, international management, trust, and identity, with a focus on multinational corporations and indigenous groups. Additional interests include strategic management, supply chain dynamics, and business-driven socio-economic development. His teaching covers strategic management and supply management.
Huemer’s publications demonstrate evolving emphasis on sustainability and resource interaction frameworks, particularly circular economy adaptations (2025), value co-creation in B2B networks (2022), and strategic resource bundling (2021). Earlier work analyzed logistics provider strategies, network cognition, and CSR in aquaculture.
