Lars Alkærsig is an Associate Professor and Head of Education in the Economics of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on entrepreneurship, intellectual property, knowledge transfer, and neurodiversity in organizational contexts. He leads the Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship and has supervised numerous PhD students in areas including mental health in business, gendered entrepreneurship, and big science impact assessment.
His work addresses topics such as surrogate entrepreneurs in academic spinoffs, mental health epidemics in organizations, and fostering academic entrepreneurship in digital sciences. He has contributed to over 30 publications and actively participates in international conferences.
Current and past projects include a data-driven approach to mental health, co-creation in entrepreneurial universities, and assessing the impact of big science organizations. He has advised PhD students on projects such as bias in gendered entrepreneurship and university-industry knowledge transfer.
