Lacy Knutson

Dr. Lacy Knutson is an Assistant Professor at South Dakota State University (SDSU), affiliated with the School of Psychology, Sociology and Rural Studies. She holds a BS from SDSU, an MS in Applied Behavior Analysis from St. Cloud State University, and a doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her career spans clinical work with developmental disabilities and autism, alongside academic roles.

Her research focuses on behavior analysis, learning principles, autism, and neurodivergent populations. She teaches courses like Learning and Conditioning, Behavior Modification, and Psychology of Abnormal Behavior. Professional affiliations include leadership roles in the South Dakota Association for Behavior Analysis and memberships in national behavior analysis organizations.

Dr. Knutson advocates for expanding support for individuals through applied behavior analysis, blending clinical experience with academic contributions. She is also involved in campus initiatives like the Mental Health and Wellness Committee.
