Laci Sutton

Dr. Laci Sutton serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Howard Payne University's School of Nursing, contributing to academic program development and nursing education. Her leadership was instrumental in establishing HPU's pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Her educational qualifications include:

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P) from Grand Canyon University
• Master of Science in Nursing Education and Administration from Lubbock Christian University
• Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard Payne University

Dr. Sutton's professional focus centers on nursing education systems and accreditation processes, with demonstrated expertise in curriculum development for undergraduate nursing programs. Her work directly enabled HPU to launch its BSN degree following Texas Board of Nursing approval in 2018.

She collaborated with Dr. Nina Ouimette, Dean of Nursing, to secure unanimous regulatory approval for the BSN program, facilitating admission of incoming first-year nursing majors starting fall 2018. The program structure requires competitive selection during sophomore year, with specialized coursework commencing the following fall semester for admitted students.
