Jordan Villanueva is an Instructor of Christian Studies at Howard Payne University (HPU). He holds a B.A. in Youth Ministry and Spanish from HPU (2012), a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2019), and is pursuing a PhD in Church History and Historical Theology. He has served in various ministry roles, including Youth Minister at Primera Iglesia Brownwood, intern at FBC El Paso, and Lead Pastor at Indian Hills Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. Currently, he is actively involved in Hispanic church engagement and serves as 2nd Vice President of the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT).
His career highlights include ministry leadership, theological education, and community outreach. He has contributed to initiatives like Texas Baptists en Español and the Hispanic Education Council. Beyond academia, Villanueva mentors and supports the men’s soccer team at HPU, reflecting his commitment to holistic student development.
