Dr Lachlan Goold is a Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Music at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Business and Creative Industries. He holds a PhD from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the same institution. His research focuses on music production practices, regional music ecosystems, and the interplay between legislation and the live music industry. Professionally known as 'Magoo,' he is a two-time ARIA Award-winning producer and co-author of Regurgitator’s Unit for Bloomsbury’s 33 1/3 series.
