About
LIN Hsin-Yu is a Research Associate at the Centre for Research and Development in Learning (CRADLE) at Nanyang Technological University, holding Bachelor's and Master's degrees from National Yang-Ming University's Department of Biomedical Imaging and Radiological Sciences in Taipei.
Her research focuses on the neurobiological basis of learning through advanced neuroimaging techniques, with expertise in MRI/fMRI analysis of cortical morphology in aging brains and neuropsychiatric disorders. Current work examines neural mechanisms underlying bilingual development and cognitive processes.
She leads six key projects at CRADLE@NTU:
- Effective Biliteracy: Script set impacts on bilingual reading networks
- Promoting balanced bilingual development in early childhood
- Reading Brains: Neural networks in early bilingual readers
- Neuroimaging of "Hot" and "Cool" Executive Function networks
- Improving Neurocognition through Dance and Kinesthetics
- Brain-NORM: Brain networks of reading/math for diagnostics
Her methodology integrates structural and functional MRI to map learning-related neural pathways, particularly investigating how bilingual exposure shapes cognitive development and how movement-based interventions affect neurocognitive function.
