Kyle Biery

Kyle Biery has been an Associate Professor of Theatre and Charles Fuller Endowed Chair of Drama at Carson-Newman University since 2008, serving as the Theatre Program Coordinator. His expertise lies in set and lighting design, emphasizing collaborative integration of theatrical elements. He holds a B.Arch from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville and an M.F.A from the University of North Carolina–Greensboro.

His directing credits include productions such as The Crucible, My Fair Lady, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Biery has also contributed as a designer and technical director to organizations like Greensboro Children’s Theatre, UNCG Summer Repertory Company, and Encore Theatrical Company, which he co-founded.

He holds the Charles Fuller Endowed Chair of Drama, reflecting his scholarly and artistic contributions. Biery’s work spans academic leadership, professional theatre collaborations, and educational initiatives in the performing arts.
