Kurt D. Streeter

Kurt D. Streeter is an Instructional Associate Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the University of Mississippi's Department of Psychology, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts. He teaches at the Desoto and Tupelo campuses and designs web-based courses. His research focuses on cross-cultural perceptions of environmental issues (nuclear power, cultured meat, GMOs), naturalness perceptions, decision-making ambivalence, and metacognition.

Published work includes a 2016 Ecopsychology article examining anthropocentric bias in cognitive-affective responses to environmental events. Collaborative research projects are ongoing.

Teaches courses like Environmental Psychology, Cognition & Perception Lab, and Statistics for Behavioral Sciences. Does not currently supervise graduate students.
