Kristina N. Bauer

Kristina N. Bauer is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Psychology at the Lewis College of Science and Letters, Illinois Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on self-regulated learning, technology-enabled instruction, and transfer of training outcomes.

Education:

Research Interests:

• Self-regulation processes in training (e.g., motivation, emotion regulation)
• Impact of technology (e.g., gamification, adaptive training) on learning outcomes
• Optimizing transfer of trained skills to workplace settings
• Research methods and statistical methodologies

Publications: Recent work includes studies on culinary training transfer, gamification in education, and school burnout effects. Her research bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in STEM education and workplace training.

Teaching & Service: Engages in curriculum development for tech-enabled instruction and serves as an advisor to graduate students. Active in professional organizations promoting evidence-based training practices.
