Kristin Backhaus

Kristin Backhaus is a Professor of Management and serves as Dean and Director of Economic Development & Community Engagement at the State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz. She holds a Ph.D. in Administration and Policy Studies from SUNY Albany (1995). Her academic career has been marked by excellence in teaching and leadership, evidenced by awards including the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching (2009) and multiple recognitions from the SUNY New Paltz community.

Dr. Backhaus's research focuses on employer branding, human resource management, leadership, and strategic management.
