Kristian A. Rusten

Kristian A. Rusten is Associate Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages at the University of Bergen, specializing in English language pedagogy and historical linguistics.

His research examines syntactic variation in Old English, language acquisition in EFL contexts, and Scandinavian linguistic influences. Recent work investigates complementizer deletion patterns and verb-initial structures in historical corpora.

Rusten has supervised multiple graduate theses on grammar pedagogy, spelling acquisition, and corpus-based language analysis. He teaches courses in English linguistics and contributes to the Language Data and Language Change research group.
