Kristen Fuhs is Professor and Chair of the Media Arts department at Woodbury University, where she also serves as Program Director for Filmmaking. Her academic background includes a PhD and MA in Critical Studies from the University of Southern California, and a BSSP in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
Her research and teaching focus on media and cultural studies, with specializations in documentary film, film industry dynamics, censorship, celebrity culture, film genres, and Hollywood history. She integrates these themes into her courses while maintaining active scholarly engagement.
