Kris Cleveland

Kris Cleveland serves as Associate Professor of Exercise Science within the Department of Science at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU), actively contributing to the Exercise Science Program and SMSU Wellness Workgroup.

His research focuses on core domains of Exercise Science including human movement analysis, physiological adaptations to exercise, and sports performance optimization. Key areas span biomechanics of athletic movements, cardiovascular physiology, and rehabilitation techniques within kinesiology and sports medicine frameworks.

As an academic advisor and program contributor, Dr. Cleveland engages in curriculum development for exercise science education and campus wellness initiatives through the SMSU Wellness Workgroup. His professional activities integrate teaching with practical wellness applications across the university community.
