Koudoumas Emmanuel

Professor Koudoumas Emmanuel holds a position at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Hellenic Mediterranean University. His academic journey includes a B.A. in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, M.A. degrees in Lasers and Applications (University of Essex, UK) and Applied Physics (University of Crete), and a Ph.D. in Ultraviolet Vacuum Radiation Generation (University of Patras). He previously served as an Associate Professor at the Technical Education Institute (TEI) of Crete before being promoted to Professor in 2007.

His work emphasizes laser-material interactions, photophysical stability, and energy-efficient technologies.

He has managed 40 research projects under the Archimedes III program and contributed to regional innovation initiatives. Notable roles include Director of the Materials Technology and Photonics Laboratory, and membership in various institutional committees and regional councils.
