Kisa Lape

Kisa Lape is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds a BA in English from Washington & Jefferson College and an MA in literary history from Ohio University. Before joining UMD in 2014, she taught at Ohio University, as well as universities and community colleges in Pennsylvania. At UMD, she has taught courses including Academic Writing, British Literature, Literature of Science and Technology, and Writing for the Health Professions through the Program in Writing and Rhetoric (PWP).

Her teaching focuses on integrating literary analysis with professional writing, particularly in health sciences contexts. She brings over a decade of experience in higher education, emphasizing pedagogical approaches that bridge historical literary studies with contemporary communication needs.
