Kimberly Ott is a Clinical Instructor in the School of Communication Science & Disorders at Florida State University (FSU). She holds a B.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Mississippi (2004) and an M.A. in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Memphis (2006). She is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) since 2007.
Her teaching focuses on pediatric speech and language disorders, school-based clinical practicum experiences, and autism spectrum disorders. Research interests include dyslexia diagnostic frameworks and vocabulary intervention strategies for children with language impairments.
Dr. Ott received the Outstanding Faculty Leader/Builder Award from FSU’s College of Communication and Information in 2023, recognizing her contributions to clinical education and student mentorship. Her recent work includes collaborative projects on diagnostic team development for dyslexia and evidence-based vocabulary interventions in expository contexts.
