Denise Croft serves as Assistant Lecturer, Clinical Supervisor, and Program Director for the Communication Disorders and Sciences program at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, while also directing SIU's Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders.
She holds a Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences from SIU Carbondale and maintains licensure as a speech-language pathologist with American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certification (CCC).
Her professional focus centers on autism spectrum disorders intervention, IEP development and school advocacy for communication-impaired individuals, clinical supervision methodologies, and language acquisition processes. Prior public school experience spans PreK-22 settings with emphasis on life-skills classrooms and autism-specific social skills programming.
As Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders Director, she oversees campus-wide autism research initiatives and community outreach programs.
