Kimberly G. Yen

Dr. Kimberly G. Yen is a board-certified Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, serving as the Chief of Ophthalmology at Texas Children's Hospital. She specializes in pediatric eye conditions, including cataracts, strabismus, amblyopia, and tear duct obstructions.

Her clinical and research work focuses on advancing treatments for childhood eye diseases through participation in NIH-funded studies, such as the Infant Aphakia Treatment Study and the Early Treatment of Retinopathy of Prematurity Study. She leads contributions to the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG) and emphasizes surgical and medical interventions for pediatric patients.

Dr. Yen has received prestigious awards and grants, including the Heed Ophthalmic Fellow Award and the Knight Templar Foundation Grant. She is actively involved in teaching and evaluation, as recognized by the Fulbright and Jaworski Faculty Excellence Award.
